DP's "Brick and Mortar"

Photos from the "Digital Press Videogames" store at 387 Piaget Ave in Clifton, NJ.

This is a somewhat chronological photo journal taken at the store during the monthly NAVA videogamer gathering on March 28, 2009. There was also a SHMUPs tournament at 6pm. There are more photos below the main gallery, including past events and store history. Also, you can click any photo for a scary close-up view!
Special thanks to Nicole for her unique eye on the day's events. You may find the following photos a little more creative than usual.   The day started out like any other (NAVA), with a few early-goers catching up on their gaming
  Note the display case in the back, which had been modified to house "rare and collectible" items brought by NAVA attendees  
  This Virtual Boy kiosk was purchased by the store and will be on display soon (needs a little work)  
You can always count on Frankie and Lisette to come up with some interesting foodstuffs Who loves Katamari? Just about everyone, apparently  
Crazy Climber and Tron handhelds on (interactive) display    
    Some items in the "rare and collectible" display case were given their own museum cards
    The Dreamcast kiosk was fired up and busy all day in addition to the PC Engine Duo and import Saturn
  In the case: Dark Knight 360 Console, Guitar Freaks arcade controller, Blockbuster tournament carts, CommaVid boxed games, Tower of Druaga board game, various prototype cartridges and much more. Very cool LOOK OUT, AJ!
The day's tournament was comprised of four shooters. Parodius Deluxe (Saturn), Cho Aniki (PC Engine), DoDonPachi (Saturn), and Darius Gaiden (Saturn) VIDEO: For a video of the final round of competition, click the photo above  
    Nick "Apollo" Goebel (in the green cap here) edged out Matt "Osaka" Papa in the final round to win the tourney
