Description: An interesting note about some Activision titles including this one. In order to conserve memory in individual cartridges, Intellivision systems themselves had a set of standard graphics stored in memory that programmers could access in their programs and not have to store the graphics within the cartridges memory. Most every Mattel-made game draws on this resource but Activision elected to use only their own graphics in Beamrider and not draw on Mattel's "free" graphics at all. Perhaps lawsuit-happy Atari put a scare into them?
