When I was a kid the SNES was my favorite system, and I got hours of enjoyment out of it. I was the video game god. Now I can't say the same thing as there is too much junk for it. In my opinion, about 30% of the games are good and the rest is worthless, and Skuljagger is no exception.

What is it with game developers? Are there actually developers that actually set out to make a bad game? This title may give value to that question. Here is another game that is not truly awful but literally has no saving features.

Every part of it is mediocre at best. To start, there is no plot. You simply go and beat Skuljagger and his pirate goons. You have the help of bubble gum to act as power-ups and the like. Next, run around truly dull and uninspired stages jumping and slashing at pirates, birds, and other poorly animated enemies, and then run around and collect gems and... BUBBLE GUM... (cliché).

Lets give this some graphics that look like they were from an early generation Turbo Grafx 16 game at best, and throw in some bubble gum rockesque/stupid sounding pirate tunes. Put it all in the blender and frappe it together and you get one lame excuse for a game. I couldn't bear it any longer after the second stage, and hit the power switch on my SNES. Now like any curious collector, you will try playing this game anyways, but you have been warned.
