Trash 80 fans rejoice! Rampage is one of the few jewels on the console. Like any other port of Rampage, it can get a bit dull after a while but it still holds up well and is on par with the NES and Master System ports.

rampage1trs80.gif (5019 bytes)The TRS joystick can make the game tricky at times, but the gameplay is dead on and so are the sound effects (a first for this console). The graphics look a tad better as the monsters are thinner and taller. They also have a more cartoony look to them. I won't go into great deal because this game explains itself; smash, crash, and bash through 150 stages of destruction. Crush helicopters, tanks, and cars to defend yourself from the constant gunfire.

The two player mode is the best of course. Who doesn't love bashing and killing each other over actually completing the task? Finally the TRS 80 gets a game right for once.

If you need at least reason to not absolute trash the "Trash" 80 then let this be it. This is a great port. I will say however that it you want to show a friend this game who isn't a collector, I would show a version on a console with a friendlier controller, as this will probably be a turnoff to most who aren't used to it.
