Experiencing
it again in its original form, I'm really surprised how similar this one
is to Joust. For every enemy killed, a coin appears. Both
characters must utilize platforms and gravity to survive and defeat
enemies. There's a coin bonus stage every couple of rounds. And fireballs,
rather than pterodactyls appear towards the end of each round. Sound
similar? I'd also forgotten that each enemy got its own intermission
preceding their level. This is cool to reminisce and for trivia buffs to
know all their names, but they are pretty long and it kind of makes you
wish Nintendo had put this stuff in the attract mode rather than having to
watch it every time. Still, it's a fun game that's more relaxing than most
classics. |
