I'll save myself the headache of writing a review for such an awful game.
I tell you man, Cosmic Corridor has to be the bottom of the barrel bad as far as
it goes for the 2600. It seems right when it was crucial to release good games Zimag had
to crap this turd out. I honestly think that they were given two weeks notice and were told this game was to be ready for production. This game is just useless. The best part about this game is the cartridge design and the Zimag logo on the back. They obviously ripped off of Vanguard, but instead you have a stupid vertical scrolling shooter that is crude and choppy in every aspect. The graphics are worse than most of the original nine games, they are on par with a Channel F game maybe. The gameplay is atrocious since you are stuck in the top third of the screen and if you scroll up or down you still can't leave that part of the screen. Enemy fire comes too fast from the top and you die before you can react. Enemy fire just ping pongs back and forth with absolutely no AI. The sound rivals the worst Channel F games as there is no music, just crude blips. Everything about this game is worthless and looks like an original release. This game needs to stay rare forever, buy it if you are the type who need a complete collection, don't put it into your system. This game is as bad as Action 52 on the NES. |
