Why is the US longbox version of Virtua Fighter Remix (Saturn) so hard to find?

Sort of. It got released with Daytona USA and Virtua Cop in a cardboard box.

Uh, no. That was VF2 in the cardboard triple pack.

Was VF1 ever sold separately in the US? The only one I see is the NOT FOR RESALE cd case version.

No, VF1 was only a pack-in game. Then they rushed out Remix as fast as they could. Basically, if you bought a Saturn, you already owned VF1.
