· 2 versions exist – the cartridge version (by Sega – pictures #1-#6) and the disk/tape versions (by Datasoft – pictures #7-#12). The Datasoft version has different credits, a better title screen, launching missiles, and better dogfight and Zaxxon robot graphics and gameplay. The Datasoft version has some extra text - “Player (I)” or Player (II)” (picture #12). Also, when the player’s ship explodes in the cartridge version, it always appears in the bottom-center of the screen, regardless of where the ship was located.
