Yay! Blogs are back!

I had a lot of fun when the DP blogs first came around, I think I actually saved them all, but I don’t know if I will post them here. I have a blog at fergojisan.blogspot.com, where I am pretty lazy, so I should be even lazier here. I don’t know what the “Hello World” post is all about, I didn’t write it.

So there’s a NAVA next weekend, and my wife and I are making the trip up. My new philosophy on collecting (hoarding, really) is “would I buy this today?”, which comes courtesy of my wife Sarah, who heard it on an organizational podcast. I have a lot of 2600-era paper memorabilia, which I would not buy these days, so I’m going to get rid of most of that stuff, if I can get through it in time. I have my sister’s old early 90s Macintosh that I wanted to keep, but have no use for now, since I have a current Macintosh. I have to plug it all in to make sure it works first. Then there’s the original Odyssey. I bought this in 1995 or -6, just because it was there. I couldn’t play it because the overlays were too big for my TV at the time. Now the TV may be too big. I would never buy this now and I think I have plugged it in just the once, so that may go too. Hopefully there will be some happy campers with slightly lighter wallets (me too, probably) at the next NAVA.

I have no idea if this will continue, but I hope some of the other DP stalwarts join back up, because there were many member blogs that I enjoyed reading. Thanks to Joe for bringing them back!
